Kalra College of Education (KCE) is committed to providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for our female students residing in the on-campus hostel. These hostel rules and regulations are designed to ensure the well-being and comfort of all residents while fostering a sense of community and responsibility.
Hostel Facilities and Eligibility:
Hostel Facilities
The hostel offers various facilities to ensure a comfortable stay for the residents:
- Modern Equipment: The hostel is equipped with modern amenities to cater to the needs of the students.
- Ventilated Rooms: All rooms are fully ventilated, ensuring a healthy living environment.
- Dining Hall: The hostel has a well-equipped dining hall with appropriate crockery and utensils for a pleasant dining experience.
- The college offers well-maintained hostel facilities equipped with modern amenities, including fully ventilated rooms, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped dining hall.
- Non-local female students are encouraged to reside in the hostel to benefit from a focused study environment and a sense of community.
Hostel Admission and Fees:
Admission to the Hostel
A form for hostel admission is available at the warden’s office. Students interested in availing the hostel facilities must fill out this form. The rent charges for the hostel are set by the university authorities, and there are separate charges for meals.
- Application forms for hostel admission can be obtained from the Warden’s office.
- Hostel rent charges are fixed by the university authorities and are separate from meal charges.
Hostel Rules:
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Residents are expected to maintain the cleanliness of their rooms and common areas within the hostel.
- Respectful Living: Fair and responsible use of toilets and washrooms is essential to avoid inconvenience for fellow residents.
- Guests and Visitors: Guests and relatives are not permitted to stay overnight in the hostel. Overnight Stay:
- Permissions and Communication: Residents must obtain prior permission from the Warden or Principal for overnight stays outside the hostel and inform them of their safe arrival upon returning.
- Communication Curfew: Outside phone calls are not permitted after 9:30 PM, except for calls to parents or close relatives whose details are registered with the hostel administration.
- Conduct and Behavior: Unruly or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited. Residents are expected to maintain a respectful and considerate environment.
- Meal Timings: The hostel mess serves meals at designated timings:
- Breakfast: 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Lunch: 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM
- Evening Tea: 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM
- Dinner: 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Additional Information:
- Residents are responsible for the safekeeping of their belongings. The hostel administration is not liable for any loss or damage.
- A hostel committee, comprising of residents and warden representatives, may be formed to address any concerns or suggestions regarding the hostel facilities or living arrangements.
- The hostel warden is available to assist residents and address any questions or concerns.
